Return Of The Pack - Dogstival 2020!

An Utterly Brilliant Weekend Dedicated to a Dog’s Enjoyment - Now with Dog-Friendly Glamping & Camping

16 & 17 May 2020, Pylewell Park, New Forest

It will be music to a dog’s ears to hear that their favourite dog festival of 2019 is back for its second year – and now with dog-friendly glamping. Dogstival, will once again take place in the heart of doggy paradise, the New Forest, in the breath-taking location of the Pylewell Park Estate for a weekend dedicated to a dog’s enjoyment.

Joining them for a second year as headline-sponsored is Go Get It, the UK’s only pet insurance comparison website, and failing to snaffle a ticket to 2020’s hottest doggy guest list is guaranteed to bring on FOMO (fear of missing out). New for 2020, is Dogstival Glamping in association with Embers Camping where guests can enjoy sea views, a pop-up pizza restaurant, cosy canine cuddles by the campfire and proper shower facilities, to maintain a best in show festival look. There’s also the option for festival goers to pitch their own tents, with special passes and a separate entrance allowing camping guests to pop out to explore the New Forest, in addition to everything Dogstival has to offer.

Another pup-date for 2020, is the K9 Health & Wellbeing Tent where TV’s Vet on the Hill Scott Miller will share his bountiful knowledge on all manner of pet care subjects such as looking after a puppy, senior dog care, first aid and tips for certain breeds, as well as talks from physios and food and nutrition experts.

Furry party animals will also be able to enjoy time with their fellow dog-kind in the Dogstival’s Dog Pub, which will serve dog-appropriate Cheeky dog at Dogstival 2020refreshments and snacks. Socially-active pups can up their Instagram game thanks to a host of fun new Insta-features that will be introduced throughout the gorgeous Pylewell estate including a mini ‘chapel’ to capture any fluffy romances struck up at the event.

When it's time to have a break from all the fast-paced fun, dogs can kick back their paws in the K9 Chill Out Zone – a bespoke area for dogs to relax, have a massage and enjoy an express groom – or discover tranquility in Pylewell’s surrounding woodlands and freshwater lakes, which will be open to explore during the festival.

Returning pack members will also be thrilled to hear that Dogstival will be bringing back the heroes of their inaugural event including the Dogstival Main Arena, which will feature a packed-out schedule of displays and shows from traditional working, therapy and assistance dogs from leading UK teams including the Essex Dog Display Team. Running alongside this will be a second arena, hosted by BBC’s Barking Hour presenter Anna Webb, which will showcase rare breeds, the awe-inspiring, fire-leaping Hants Fire & Rescue Dogs, kids obedience competitions and a fun dog show.

Dedicated to helping owners gaining a deeper understanding of their dog’s wellbeing and behaviour, the Dog House Behavioural Stage will return to help with all manner of training tips and advice. It will also explore aspects of a dog’s mental health and wellbeing such as separation and exercise, from a stage designed to look like a home-setting, to offer authentic insight into common issues.

For the ultimate doggy thrills, the K9 Aqua Sports Pool will encourage dogs to launch themselves into water with wild abandonment while dry land fun can be found in the Have-A-Go area offering agility for dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as flyball, working dog scurries and mini lure racing.

Gift-wrapping this action-packed day is Boutique Shopping with around 200 quality stalls, Artisan Food & Drink from talented Hampshire and the New Forest producers serving up foodie delights from land and sea, as well as Live Music and a Vintage Fairground with a Ferris Wheel offering views over the Isle of Wight. And the cherry on top is Dogstival’s location - Pylewell Park, a breath-takingly grand 17th century house, positioned on the south coast of the New Forest with a large agricultural and sporting estate boasting approximately 2,000 acres with a mix of woodland, a 15-acre lake and around 70 acres of open lawn.

Dogstival’s Co-founder Richard Nowell says: “We’re delighted to announce Dogstival’s return for next May. We’ve tried to cram as many of a dog’s favourite activities into one weekend. Whatever your dog’s breed or age, there will be something to try, sniff or taste, and being such a brilliant family event, we've also incorporated plenty of activities for children to learn or take part in too centred around their love of dog!”

He adds: “Our second event sees our aim to help owners understand more about their four-legged friend continue, and this is why we’ve decided to expand our already popular Behaviour Stage offering, by adding the expertise of TV vet Dr Scott Miller. We’re also super excited about adding glamping to our offering as it brings an authentic festival spirit to the weekend. Pylewell Park is a truly stunning estate, so being able to stay here for the weekend with your dog is a real treat for both human and hound.”

Yvonne Gosney, Brand Manager at Go Get it, comments: “Dogstival really is the ‘paw-fect’ day for dogs and their owners alike and we’re thrilled to be back as headline sponsor. We had a fantastic time welcoming visitors to ourDogstival 2020 ‘Go Get it Garden’ earlier this year and can’t wait to ‘embark’ on next year’s show and all the new activities they have planned. It’s definitely going to be bigger and better in 2020!”
